What you'll be doing

In order to help us realise our vision, we're seeking a Head of Strategic Procurement to provide strategic procurement and commercial support for new build or S106 transactions as a member of the Design, Technical and Innovation team.

As a key member of the Design, Technical and Innovation team, you'll work alongside the wider Development and Asset Management businesses as well as other support functions to help ensure Clarion's design and asset management requirements are defined and enshrined within key procurement agreements to support new-build, Joint Venture and S106 procurement routes.

You'll liaise with the Asset Management team regarding the strategic procurement of core components and assets to support the planned investment programme and obtain best value for Clarion's ongoing maintenance teams to enable the feedback of on-site knowledge and apply continuous improvement techniques.

You'll work closely with Clarion's central procurement team to support strategies, which enable Clarion to:-

• Being housing and service provider of choice

• Build a successful, respected, and influential national business

• Build new homes and successful communities

• Maintain our financial resilience

What we're looking for

We're looking for procurement professionals with significant and demonstrable experience working with developers and/or main contractors in a senior procurement role, buying construction materials, components and services. You'll come to us with experience in developing and directing procurement strategies with strong construction product, component and supplier knowledge. Strong stakeholder management skills, commercial awareness and negotiating skills are also essential for the role.
