Compassion in World Farming International is looking for a Global HR Manager to support our growing charity. You will play a critical role in developing the capacity of the organisation’s HR services. If you are excited about supporting animal welfare, and if you are hungry to support an amazing and passionate team of staff, then this might be the role for you.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong HR generalist experience to play a central role in driving the delivery of our strategy.

A bit about us

Compassion in World Farming International is a leading global farm animal welfare organisation campaigning to bring an end to factory farming and to implement the highest animal welfare standards in Europe and beyond.

We lead a growing worldwide movement of people concerned about how industrial agriculture mistreats animals, wastes precious resources and utterly fails to meet the needs of the planet’s inhabitants.

With headquarters in the UK and offices in France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium and the USA, we are an influential organisation whose supporters and partners throughout the world help us deliver on our initiatives

What you’ll do as part of our team

The Global HR Manager will support the Global Head of HR in the design and implementation of HR tools, policy, and processes. This role will also work with our global offices to ensure that high quality and effective HR services are provided for all employees. This is a real ‘hands on’ role; it will involve working on various projects covering Reward, Performance Management, Talent, Training & Development, and all employee lifecycle operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Manage the day-to-day HR function with experience of providing hands-on HR generalist support
• Work closely with the Global Head of HR to execute strategic priorities, goals and special projects
• Work with colleagues in the Operations department to develop processes in line with best practices
• Apply and monitor policies and procedures across the organisation, including auditing and monitoring adherence, and tailoring to local context
• Ensure equitable and anti-oppressive application of policies and processes, and identify improvements
• Maintain knowledge of HR best practices, trends, laws, regulations, and technology to support our work within the Operations team
• Navigate operating in several countries (note: you will not be expected to know labour laws in all the countries we operate in but will be expected to be able to raise questions and challenge assumptions you may have).
