Description

A small charity focused on commissioning art by disabled artists is seeking a Finance Manager as the organisation goes through an important period of growth and change.

It is important to note that the role can be fully-remote / home-based. The organisation has offices in Wakefield, West Yorkshire so working from the office is also possible if you live within commutable distance. It may also be possible to work from another office location in the UK if you prefer to be office based rather than home based.

Currently, the organisation has a permanent Finance Officer and a freelance Finance Manager whose main duties have involved setting up systems for this new and expanding organisation. The permanent Finance Manager will be someone who wants to take on a new organisation and make their mark on all aspects of its financial ecosystem. To find out more, the job pack is available in word, PDF, large print and audio.

The role can be offered on a part-time basis (ideally 4 days per week, but 3 days per week considered), or on a full-time basis.

The role would be ideally suited to someone with prior experience at Senior Finance Officer or Finance Manager level from within the charity sector, with a good grasp of restricted fund accounting.

Key facts about the role:

Annual salary: £35,000-£45,000 per annum, pro-rata where applicable.

Employment type: This a permanent position.

Hours: The Finance Manager role is envisioned to be either a 0.8 or a full-time position and the organisation is interested in applicants for either level. As a team the organisation has a highly adaptable working culture with flexible working hours and occasional travel and weekends/evening work when events require it.

Remote Working: All the team will work from home or from a local arts organisation base (when determined) and, if within commutable distance from Wakefield, at the hub office.

Training and development: The charity is committed to staff training and development, individually and as a team.

Access: The organisation is delighted to meet reasonable adjustments, to adjust existing practices and procedures to meet access requirements and supports all team members to apply to Access to Work to cover relevant costs.
