Fundraising Officer

We are looking for a Public Fundraising Officer to play a crucial part in helping the charity achieve its mission, working towards a world where single parent families are valued and have the opportunity to thrive.

Position: Public Fundraising Officer

Location: Remote or office-based (hybrid working)

Hours: 35 hours per week (open to flexible working requests)

Salary: £30,000-£32,000 per annum depending on experience

Contract: Permanent

In this role, you will be joining the charity at an exciting time, having recently launched a new organisational strategy, which puts campaigning at the heart of what they do.

The Role

The Public Fundraising Officer is responsible for growing income from the general public through the individual giving programme, community and events fundraising, and legacy income. This contributes to delivering the overall fundraising income that enables the charity to deliver its vital work.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:

  • To raise funds from individuals against agreed annual targets and grow income year-onyear
  • To work collaboratively to achieve success
  • Administration, support and general activities
  • Corporate responsibilities

About You

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in growing income from individuals, including regular giving and one-off donations, donor acquisition and stewardship, community fundraising, and events fundraising. This role will allow you to learn more about legacy marketing. Because of the nature of fundraising events, the postholder must be willing to work evenings and weekends when necessary. The charity operates a TOIL policy.
