Description
2 x Associate Directors - #1 Public Affairs and #2 Climate Change Advisory (Cratus 2050)
#1 AD, Public Affairs
We are looking for a public affairs professional who shares our passion for local government to lead a new team within our well established Public Affairs service.
Your career history of leading public affairs work either in other agencies or in-house will mean you are adept in delivering a great client service, with the ‘people’ skills to build lasting relationships with a wide range of clients wanting to engage and build their relationships with local governments.
You will be a natural leader, with the confidence and ambition to run a team and the drive to keep growing not only your own career but to share your learning and empower others.
Your drive will mean that winning work brings you as much personal and professional reward as delivering outstanding campaigns.
Essential skills and attributes we’re looking for:
- A great writer and communicator
- An inspirational leader who empowers others
- A creative problem-solver
- Detail-oriented, and dedicated to providing a 5* service
- Personable, able to relate to council officers, councillors and key stakeholders
- A networker, a relationship-builder and a great salesperson
#2 AD - Climate Change Advisory (Cratus 2050)
We have an exciting opportunity for a candidate passionate about climate change advocacy to lead the delivery of our strategic service providing advice on sustainability and climate emergency communications. You will be responsible for developing our strategic relationship with FOOTPRINT+ and all related activity, and will be excited about the challenge of growing this area of the business to create something very special. You will work closely and creatively with our marketing lead to develop initiatives which grow our client base, including monthly events and activities which support Cratus 2050 such as our podcast ‘What has the environment ever done for us?’
You must be committed to the 2050 agenda, and should be a competent writer with the creativity to use your own initiative and develop the service alongside Vikki Slade, Director of Strategic Advice on Sustainability and Climate Emergency Communications, and our Chief Executive Nick Kilby.
Essential skills and attributes we’re looking for:
- A great writer and communicator
- An entrepreneurial thinker
- A climate change enthusiast
- A great leader and a team player
- Personable, able to relate to council officers, councillors and key stakeholders
- Account and client management skills
- A great salesperson, with the ability to charm the birds from the trees
