Public Relations Specialist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Public Relations Specialist create content for digital and social media and support global communication initiatives with special attention to the crisis in Ukraine.

You will be working for an organisation that is both a Christian Church and an international humanitarian charity, serving people around the globe in over 130 countries without prejudice or discrimination. Based in the City of London, this role will suit an individual who is passionate about humanitarian aid.

Position: Public Relations Specialist

Location: Based in London, but flexible working may be available

Salary: £33,996.60 pa plus travel to work allowance up to £3500 pa

Contract: 1-year Fixed Term Contract, full time, 35 hours per week

Benefits: Contributory pension scheme, generous travel to work allowance, 25 days annual leave, plus 8 Bank Holidays per annum.

About the role:

Are you an outstanding storyteller? As Public Relations Specialist you will specialise in communications around the international charity’s global response to the Ukraine crisis and wider international programmes.

A key part of the role will be speaking to stakeholders, journalists and overseas colleagues, drafting various types of written content, and updating reports and some digital platforms in a timely manner.

Other responsibilities of the role include:

  • Public Relations planning
  • Media relations
  • Create and curate excellent and engaging content
  • Provide support with podcasts
  • Plan and produce exhibits as required
  • Curate new campaign development
  • Produce regular analytic reports
  • Produce agendas, calendars, campaign timelines
  • Travel internationally as and when required
  • Attend all relevant meetings as required
  • Participate in the 24-hour IHQ crisis communications Rota
