Through Perrett Laver, we is seeking an outstanding leader to become the first Chief Finance Officer at Sport England. This new role will play a key part in driving forward an organisation determined to tackle inequalities and unlock the advantages of sport and physical activity for everyone.

The Winner of Sports Organisation of the Year at the 2021 Sport Industry Awards, Sport England is an arm’s length body of government established by Royal Charter in 1996. We support our expertise, insight and campaigns with the targeted investment of funding from both the government and the National Lottery to grow and develop grassroots sport and help more people across England get active.

We strive to build the foundations of a world-class community sport system by working with a wide range of sporting and other organisations, to grow the number of people playing sport and being active, sustain participation levels and help more talented people from more diverse backgrounds excel.

We believe that by removing existing barriers to sport and activity, we can have impact that extends well beyond our sector and helps to address many of society’s biggest challenges. Uniting the Movement is our 10-year strategy for 2021-31 aiming to do just that.

The successful candidate will need to be a strategic, inclusive and highly collaborative leader with an ability to build strong relationships with key internal and external partners.

They will be expected to provide trusted, strategic financial advice to the CEO, Executive Team, and Board, to ensure appropriate standards of governance and assurance permeate through all parts of the organisation, and that all colleagues are expertly supported by world class corporate services.
