Description
Ty Waunarlwydd is a Residential Care Home that supports individuals living with Dementia.
We are looking for someone to join our night team. The applicant must have a kind, caring and supportive approach and has to be able to meet the requests of the individuals residing within the home.
The vacant post is for a 20 hour Night Care Assistant, to work a 2 x10 hour shifts during the night.
The post includes night shifts during the week, weekends and on bank holidays.
You will be supported by the Night Care Officer to undertake the role, in line with policy procedure set out by the City and County of Swansea and in conjunction with the job specification.
Our focus is on supporting people to continue to make decisions and choices, maintaining a sense of security, of belonging, of significance and value and help individuals live their lives the way they want to live. You will work closely with relatives, carers and other professionals to be able to meet the changing needs of service users.
A QCF Level 2 in Care is a mandatory qualification, which you can work towards following a satisfactory probation period. You will be expected to work within and in compliance to the City & County of Swansea policies and procedures and CIW Standards. You will be able to undertake the full range of duties of the role including the use of manual handling equipment and fire safety evacuation aids should an emergency occur. The role will also include high standards of record keeping and documentation within service users personal files.
You must be able to work as part of a team and you will need to be flexible to work as part of a rota (which may be subject to change).
