Description
The Mid Wales Regional Skills Partnership (RSP) is one of four regional partnerships in Wales bringing together stakeholders including Employers; Further Education; Higher Education; Local Government (Education & Regeneration); Schools; the Third Sector and Work Based Learning, together with other key stakeholders including Careers Wales and Department for Work and Pensions.
Main Purpose of Post:
The RSP Project Officer will Lead on engagement activity with delivery partners in relation to the Young Persons Guarantee (YPG), making the most of collective talents, energy and resources of all stakeholders.
Lead on establishing the Young Persons Guarantee Cluster Group, maintaining contact with Employers, WVCA and regionally important companies in the region to influence the next stages of development.
Support the RSP Manager in developing the Employment and Skills Plan and ensure that the work of the MWRSP is driven forward, delivering clear outcomes and outputs to meet the requirements of Welsh Government (WG); the Regional Economic Partnership - Growing Mid Wales and the Education/Training providers across the region.
Develop, with the Regional Partnership Manager, the infrastructure of theYPG Cluster Group (supporting organisation of regular meetings; agenda planning, minute taking etc.).
Support the RSP Manager with overview mapping – building a regional picture of progress and priorities for each of the partners and potential areas for developing a more in-depth collaborative approach between partners and across sectors which will deliver genuine economies & efficiencies, whilst improving opportunities and quality for provision of learners, with clear outcomes and outputs.
The initial contract will run until 31/10/2023. It is anticipated that further funding will be secured to extend this post.
